Change for the worse

A few years ago I bought this software at a stand alone price. A one time charge. Product worked great allowing me to edit a single video choosing a specific section to use as a "new video". Then I could "export" it and save the newer edited version to my hard drive. In addition I could take 2 seperate videos and merge them together as 1 longer video. I did this for years. A super deal for what I paid to download the software. A few years later my hard drive on my laptop crashed. I bought a new computer. I downloaded their software again and could not use my "Product key" to activate it. I had to purchase it over again. Trouble is once activated, I had to now subscribe monthly to continue to edit videos. And it no longer allowed my to "export" my new video directly to my computer. It only allows you to export your finished video to their cloud server. And of course if you stop paying their monthly fee, you can no longer access your finished work. BOGUS! I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with their "new and improved" business model. BUYER BEWARE. For me personally I don't see the value anymore and refuse to pay a monthly fee for the functionality that was once there - and now a "subscription based" service...
