DoNotPay Does Not Work UK
They are not in UK though there are claims that they are. I was advised to submit issues through the Customer Service Issue link to get my concern treated by their support agent, Lucy. After 7 days of submitting my concern as advised, I have been categorically told that they only work in the United States and not UK, hence my task is impossible to complete. Just so you all know, they may be functional but only in the United States.

2.5 Stars Very hit or miss with Donotpay. Ive been using them since they first launched, and some tasks are never finished, or just get 'lost' (this happened with 2 parking tickets. I filed them 8 months ago and it still shows as 'pending'). I would not use them for anything mid or high stakes (like govt paperwork)...because I've found that you're really risking the thing actually being filed- if you use it, keep it low stakes and things you really dont care about. The free trial/sample options never work. (Like, never.) Not sure why they even have this option other than trying to find fluff to make the app seem more atrtractive and marketable. The spam removal is also semi effective. Still on the fence on whether I want to continue using the more premium service
SCAM! It's clearly said DO NOT PAY.... so do not pay.
Firstly the name DO NOT PAY that was most important thing that I missed, that was stupid of me. that literally says do not pay. I saw this instagram reel, about infinite subscription free trials. where they totally make you believe its legit. however I go to their site and login they ask for email and very smartly ask for credit details (I used Google pay) which most people don't see (even I didn't). The fact is there is no disclaimer that you will be charged, and after entering the details, then DONOTPAY sent a mail for OTP for login (but still there is no disclaimer that you will be charged even in the email) says "Congrats! Welcome to DoNotPay. Here's the confirmation code you need to log into your DoNotPay account: OTP - ****** " And after I entered the OTP, immediately 3090/- INR roughly 38 USD was debited from my account (Which might not be much in US, but that is my monthly allowance from my parents.) I was shocked. I was soo scared that I suddenly reported that to my bank about this fraud and they temporally blocked my account, and further actions will be taken. Also I sent email to DONOTPAY for refund, but they happened to send me "auto generated email". While I'm waiting I'll keep posting until I get my refund and let people know DO NOT PAY visit here. Of course the business should run but, There should be a separate checkout page for payment (like Netflix, Amazon, etc.) and should make it VERY CLEAR that this service is so and so chargeable, so people will know they are going to be charged. I am from poor family but the false greed got the best of me. Still I try to be mature enough to wait for their real response. and get my FULL REFUND

Complete scam, nonfunctional app, nonexistent support
App claims it'll help with deceptive business practices and save you time, but none of the features work. Tried 3 different tasks on the app and they just sit in "pending" for days. Emailing customer support just goes into a bottomless blackhole. Charging two months' up-front for an app that doesn't work is wild. 100% scam, don't make the same mistake I did.

Absolutely useless to UK residents
Absolutely useless to UK residents. They market it as able to help you with over 200 tools, allow you to register with a UK mobile number and debit card, immediately take payment for a subscription without any additional details about the services you can actually use, then you realise that 99% of the tools are available to US residents only. Utter scam, still awaiting a response from my support email so I have raised a dispute with MasterCard.

DoNotPay is a game changer for anyone who needs legal help without the hassle and expense of hirign a lawyer. I have uses their service for various purposes, such as disputing traffic tickets, subscriptions, refunds, sending fax, sending letter by regular mail, getting legal advice through their chatbot, and lots more. Everything is super easy and fast to use. They also have a lot of new and improved features and a great customer support team. DoNotPay is the world’s first robot lawyer and they are awesome. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs legal help. You will love them!
They are literally a scam company
They are literally a scam company. They take your money and literally do nothing and when the month runs out they demand more and are constantly trying to charge your account. I’ve never been so repulsed by a company my whole life. Steer clear of donotpay.
They do have a good support team
They do have a good support team . You just need to send them an email telling them the exact problem and they will notify you if they should need more info and or correct the problem. I had to reach out here recently with a problem and Lucy in support let me know everything she would need to solve the problem. Upon sending her the info she requested from me, she found the source and resolved it. (as it was not in plain sight ,one might say.) Her dedicated extra effort in researching found the source of my problem . My hats off to you Lucy. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work. I appreciate all you did. .😎👍
They charged me twice
They charged me twice. Now I'm $100 in the hole. Don't even know how it even lets you do that. It's a scam, and you should be ashamed.
No way to cancel!!!
We are trying to help an elderly family member to cancel a subscription/account. The website is incredibly difficult to cancel this and we emailed the company with no response. We are needing to reach SOMEONE with the company to cancel. This is ridiculous!

It has been a poor experience. Even when I got hold of their customer service to cancel, they still kept charging months later. There was no phone number to call . The responses seem to be automated .
predatory membership fees
I used DoNotPay to recover funds from canceled airline tickets, which was successful. However the membership fee for the service multiplied until I was being billed $35 multiple times a year. I canceled the membership and requested a refund for the membership fee but have not received it. Be careful what you sign up for.

When I purchased a burner phone on donotpay.com it would not work and my acccount is locked. Can you please give me a refund for the full amount for $36.00 plus the $1.37 I used for the burner phone.

Signed up for a free trial to see if they could help me with a warranty claim for a defective product I bought, the website told me they would handle it within a few hours and now it's been three days with no update. Glad I made sure to sign up for the trial using an empty prepaid debit card, good luck charging anything to that hunk of plastic. Feels good knowing that I scammed the scammers for once. Edit: 08/25/2024 The task they were supposed to be able to help me with in a matter of hours(submit a warranty claim for a defective item), still has not been completed. Upon checking the website, it tells me that they can not complete the task until I agree to an annual membership. If that's the case, why offer a free trial in the first place? Website claims to be able to assist with all manner of services but in reality, it's just an AI chatbot that can't actually do any of the claims the site makes.
ChatGPT with a form, but billing you after you canceled.
Basically, it is ChatGPT with a form. Looks cute, can't tell if it really works or if they do anything for you. You want people to stopping calling, you fill the form, they email it for you... You still receive calls from scammers. You could have do that faster with ChatGPT. "Write an email to ... agency to take my number off." Oh, and for free. I cancel 3 months ago and they still invoiced me. Beware.
