Changes to their system left me stranded
They made changes to their software/system as a result of which crucial features don't work on my laptop/OS anymore - which is, admittedly, not a spring chicken at this point, but still. If this were Apple, I'd understand their attempt at planned obsolescence, but why would Deepl.com support that rather than cater to older systems as well?? On a tragically ironic side-note, I am a translator, and the reason why I cannot afford to buy a new laptop is the damage that Deepl itself has done to my business in the first place!
Waste of money! Horrible experience!
The desktop application really really horrible! I'm a pro subscriber of DeepL which wants to use the Desktop app, but every time I'm forced to log in again. I hope you can understand this is a waste of productivity. I installed the web version now as a web app, but the irony is that the website is pushing me often with the popups to use the horrible desktop app. It feels like a waste of money, and I'm really regrading that I have paid for this service. I don't know what the company is doing with my money, but it would be wise to hire some good devs who also have an eye for user experience.
Worthless translations
As a writer, I looked into this tool to translate my books into English. But it is useless. What I got here is a pile of rubbish that even changed my storyline and characters. No editor can work with it. I decided to quit my trial subscription since I will not spend any money on this tool that is not helping me. The editor, which is still Beta, is even worse. The quality of the translation is about the same as Google Translate, with the latter one being free. Customer support is present, but do not waste your money on this tool.
No PRO sales to Turkiye
DeepL There is even Cyprus in PRO, but not Turkiye. There is no explanation for this except racism. What kind of sales strategy is it to sell to an island country next to a country with a population of 100 million and not to sell to that country?

Stopped working at the most crucial moment, when I was chatting with an important business partner. The web version stopped working and threw an error asking me to try again later.
Seit Winter 2023 extrem schlecht
DeepL hat brutal nachgelassen. War früher wirklich ein top Übersetzer. Seit kurzem ist sogar Googe-Übersetzer besser... Zum schämen!

Got a refund for a yearly subscription, even though it theirs by right
I started with a free monthly subscription of DeepL Pro Advanced. After this free month is forgot to cancel my subscription so a invoice for a year of €299,88 was debited from my account. After contacting support they, as an act of goodwill, offered to change my invoice to a monthly period so i would get a refund. Very happy with this solution.

Tolles Tool mit super Übersetzungen. Aber man wird jetzt nach und nach in die Richtung geschoben, so dass man doch endlich mal ein kostenpflichtiges ABO abschließen soll. Vielen Dank! Kein Interesse!

Deepl se targue d'être le meilleur traducteur. C'est parfaitement risible lorsque l'on voit le ridicule de certaines traductions, pourtant basiques qui frise le n’importe quoi et le ridicule. De plus le site est truffé de bugs et dernière trouvaille en date : obligation d'utiliser la version pro payante bien sûr et dont l’utilisation reste limitée. Google fait moins de pub et se vante moins mais : Leur service est toujours disponible ce qui n'est pas le cas de Deepl La longueur du texte et le nombre de traduction sont illimitées Il n’y a pas un pop-up toutes les 5 mn La qualité de traduction n'a rien à envier à Deepl Donc Bye Bye Deepl gardez vos bugs, vos pubs, vos pop-up vos abonnements farfelus, petit exemple : Traduction de textes en illimité ² ² Sous réserve d'une consommation raisonnable. A pleurer de rire .....

Übersetzung ist zum Fremdschämen
Die Dokumenten Übersetzung ist zum Fremdschämen. Habe es einer befreundeten echten Übersetzerin gezeigt und wir waren entsetzt. Teilweise nicht übersetzt, teilweise falsch. Ich würde dort keine meiner Dokumente übersetzen lassen. Es sei denn ich bin Übersetzer und gehe akribisch nochmal über jeden Satz, aber die Fehlerquote ist definitiv viel zu hoch. Und wir haben nur jede dritte Seite geprüft. Leider absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Man merkt hier wirklich, dass sich die KI auf einem weniger als Anfänger Level bewegt. Das ist eher peinlich und zeitaufwendig als hilfreich.

Deepl vient de rendre ses traductions payantes (nombre de traductions limitée à 5 par jours environ) ! C'est complètement nul, maintenant je ferai traduire mes textes par ChatGpt, c'est gratuit avec eux !!

Früher konnte man etwas kostenlos…
Früher konnte man etwas kostenlos übersetzen. Heute geht es nicht mehr. Ich müsste mich neuerdings Anmelden. Es gibt eigentlich eine Gratis Version, aber immer wenn ich übersetzen will, kommt ich soll ein Abo testen. Will ich nicht. Google ist unterdessen annähernd so gut wie deepl.
