I’ve been using this translator mainly…
I’ve been using this translator mainly for work emails and some longer documents. It handles full sentences much better than others I’ve tried, and the tone usually feels natural, not like a word-for-word translation.

W tamtym roku działało nawet dobrze, przy nowej subskrybcji limit 300 000 znaków jest dosyć mało sensowny, ale zrozumiały. Jednak przy tłumaczeniu wtyczką do worda psuło mi formatowanie, więc musiałem cofać i próbować jeszcze raz, przez co limit znaków bardzo się zużył. Niestety argumentem supportu na to było, że ta wtyczka nie jest od tego i było sobie wgrać dokument do tłumacza.

DeepL Write – sehr hilfreich, aber ...
DeepL Write hat mir schon oft nützliche Anregungen für einen besseren Text gegeben. Ärgerlich ist aber der Verweis auf Gender-Formulierungen, die, wie man wissen kann, kein korrektes Deutsch ausdrücken. Wenn man den Begriff "Hörer" mit dem Begriff "Hörer:innen" vermeintlich verbessern will, wird es aber wahlweise lächerlich oder ärgerlich. Das sollte man der KI schleunigst abgewöhnen!

We have been contacted as a company by sales team from DeepL, the team informed us that multiple employees in our company use the tool and if we do not have any concerns about our data protection because of that. As a solution they have offered us a licensed plan and a DPA agreement. Our teams use web as the company policy allows it, mainly to translate non sensitive text. For sensitive data, we do use internal AI tools and On Premise language models, Office365 and Azure solutions. The idea of making a deal through regulatory pressure, by pointing possible risks without being able to indicate factual records, is simply apoling. As a result, access to all DeepL tools within the company has now been disabled. Well done guys 👌

Es ist ein Witz die kostenlose Version sperren sie die ab irgendeinem Punkt und wenn man dann bereit ist zu zahlen hat man noch eine Wortlimit Irrung pro Monat und das bei den Preisen.Der Dienst Ansich ist toll aber.Aber bei der Preis Leistungspolitik haben die mich als Kundin komplett verloren

Die beste Übersetzungs-App, die ich je gesehen habe – und sie ist sogar kostenlos! Man merkt deutlich, dass der Algorithmus beispielsweise im Vergleich zu Google weit überlegen ist. EDIT: Leider weist die Desktop-App einige grundlegende technische Probleme auf, weshalb ich die Sternebewertung von 5 auf 4 herabsetzen muss: Ich werde immer wieder willkürlich ausgeloggt, manchmal lässt sich die App nicht schließen usw. Schade, denn die Kernfunktionalität ist wirklich großartig!

They have imposed a limit of 300,000 characters for the paid individual plan. If you are given free rein, you will charge for air! What is the point of limiting the number of characters for individual paid users? So that I switch to a business or team plan? I do not need these plans! Bring back unlimited characters for paid plans! Greed will be your downfall!

Ho fatto l'abbonamento perché mi era scaduto il periodo di prova e non mi era stata dichiarata la possibilità di recedere dal contratto. Abbonamento di 1 anno, 300 euro, e un servizio pessimo, tanto che mi è venuto il dubbio che si trattasse di una truffa (esempio: traduce "diritto di asilo" come "kindergarten right") Li ho contattati per lamentarmi della cosa chiedendo un rimborso per un servizio che non varrebbe neanche 1 euro al mese, e quello che hanno fatto è stato cancellarmi l'account senza consenso, e riattribuirmi il costo dei mesi che mi mancavano. Inoltre - forse la cosa più grave - nella mail si sono rifiutati per 3 volte di rispondere alla mia richiesta di risorse consultabili che provino quello che affermano, cioè che sono "il miglior traduttore del mondo".
Sub par service and translation
Terrible service. Customer support is also lacking so when you do have an issue good luck getting it resolved in a timely manner. I used up my 3 document translation because I had to split the document up so that it was more readable to the software. Not even a fraction of the document was translated and only 1 of the three downloaded to my computer. When I tried to download the others it said to contact customer service. This sending me in circles. Not worth the money or the headache that comes along with it.

they offer 30 days free, but when put credit card - I have got nothing, no API - no support, it's a joke in bad sense... ( = awful
Their new version is even worse than it was before
I've never liked them because I could tell how greedy and hyper they are, which is why I ditched them, but then someone mentioned how great they were compared to goolag translate and I decided to try again. Even before, a CONSTANT stream every day of popups trying to get me to pay and also use their desktop which doesn't work on Win 7 anyway. Now they changed the entire thing with the evil AI, and there's TONS of popups all over the place, the essay field is long now, AND they deleted my text in the fields, so now I have to remember what I said. I have several tabs open with text in them and when my tab suspender suspends them, it looks like they change the code and now it deletes. OMG It NEVER did that before. Just like with goolag, it kept the text. TERRIBLE!!!
Hopeless
Hopeless. Fairly accurate translations but keeps erasing what I have typed so far before I have finished, forcing me to type in the text all over again.
Translator doesn't work and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
Trying to translate documents, error message reading "there is a problem connecting to our service, try again later" AFter trying for 10 days and sending out four emails still no communication. Very poor
Difficult Translator
I tried the translator and it was so difficult to use. Too much effort for a couple of snippets I would like to translate. It's better to use Google. Google has a longer history translating our world's languages and they offer that service for free.
lost €60
I bought the wrong plan on DeepL by mistake. I noticed it right away and kindly wrote to their support asking to correct my error. It’s been 10 days now and I haven’t received any reply. Looks like I lost €60… and there’s nothing I can do about it.
Can't even get basic functionality right
Your translator just literally doesn't work, it doesn't allow me to type anything in to the box. Is it too much to expect that the absolute most basic functionality of your application works? So stupid.

Seit kurzem ist die App völlig unbrauchbar. Für einen kostenpflichtigen Dienst ist das inakzeptabel. Früher war immerhin die Webversion eine Alternative, wenn die Standalone-Version Probleme machte. Doch inzwischen ist auch diese unbrauchbar. Der Kundensupport ist zudem katastrophal.
